About the Hospital

The majority of rotations will occur at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. The not-for-profit, 256-bed tertiary medical facility offers specialty services including, cardiovascular care, cancer care, women's health services, emergency medicine and surgical services. Arnot Ogden Medical Services tops the list of preferred hospitals in the Twin Tiers by a 3:1 ratio and receives the highest satisfaction rating for inpatient and emergency department visitors.

The department of Graduate Medical Education is located just off campus, at 1001 Hoffman Street, in Elmira, NY.

 

Some rotations will occur at St. Joseph's Hospital, Founded in 1908, St. Joseph’s  is a not-for-profit, Catholic 295-bed acute care hospital specializing in orthopedic care, physical rehabilitation, geriatric medicine, behavioral science and alcohol rehabilitation.

Some rotations may occur at Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital, a rural, not-for-profit, 38-bed acute care hospital with an adjacent 120-bed skilled nursing facility. The Hospital Emergency Department is undergoing a $3.1 million renovation to better serve the urgent care needs of the community.

Affiliations and Accreditations

Arnot Health Residency Programs are affiliated with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM). In a unique partnership with LECOM, we provide core competency-based clinical rotations to compliment the graduate college’s student-centered curriculum.

At Arnot Health, we are looking for innovative, dynamic residents to work directly with experienced specialists and have exposure to a breadth of cases. Graduates of colleges of osteopathic medicine accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) who have successfully passed NBOME COMLEX Boards Parts I and II are eligible for selection.
