Relocation Allowance:

A *relocation allowance of up to $2,000 is given to each PGY-1 resident. Please reference the relocation policy. (*Relocating receipt must accompany request for reimbursement.)

Housing, Meals, Uniforms, and Laptops:

Affordable housing is available throughout Elmira area.
Meal vouchers are furnished at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center cafeteria for residents on night call
Lunch is available for lectures and conferences held a noontime.
- Dietary accommodations are made, including Halal, vegan, and vegitarian.
Each resident is supplied with two white lab coats at start of program.
Each resident is supplied with a charting device (iPad/ Laptop) to be used while in program, if required.

Personal Time Off:

20 (days) per academic year plus 7 sick days.

Personal Development Educational Funds:

PGY-1: $935 or the cost of Step 3 Exam.
PGY-2 & PGY-3: $1,125
PGY-4, PGY-5, & PGY-6: $1,500
Final Year of Training: $1,000 (Designated to board exam or prep tool. May be used for fellowship application costs.)
Diagnostic Radiology will receive $2,800 in their PGY-4 instead of the $1,000 their final year.

Please Note

*Personal Development Funds will be increase for Residents in their final year of Residency training at AOMC. They may receive up to an additional $1,000 to be used solely for their specialty board exam fees.

*Diagnostic Radiology will increase their PGY-4 year for AIRP, Oral Boards and Written Boards.
